Maria Koterbska

Maria Koterbska-Frankl, born July 13, 1924, in Bielsko, Poland, was a Polish pop singer. She debuted on New Year's Eve 1949 and became a staple on Radio Katowice's Melodie świata in the 1950s, where hits such as "Augustowskie noce" and "Brzydula i rudzielec" rose to popularity. In the mid-1950s, she switched from jazz to theatre songs at the Satirical Theatre in Kraków.
