Maridalia Hernández Morel is a Dominican singer and one of the founders of the
group 440. She began her musical studies at age 10 at the José Ovidio García
Music School in Santiago de los Caballeros and earned her degree in Music
Education from the Dominican Academy of Music. Hernández's breakthrough came in
1981 with her performance in Sonido Para una Imagen. In 1982, she performed as
María Magdalena in the opera rock Jesucristo Superestrella and released her
