Marjana Lipovsek
Marjana Lipovšek, born in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia (now Slovenia), on December 3,
1946, is a Slovenian opera singer and actress. She completed vocal studies in
Graz and participated in a masterclass in 1980 before beginning her career at
the Vienna State Opera in 1979 and joining the Hamburg State Opera in 1981. She
performed at major opera houses and festivals, including the Salzburg Festival
and the Bregenz Festival. Her classical recordings include Johann Sebastian
