Born in Amstelveen, Netherlands, on May 14, 1996, Martin Garrix is a Dutch DJ
who placed ninth in Forbes Magazine's list of the top ten highest-earning DJs in
pop music with a reputed $19,500,000 in 2017, at the age of just 21. Having
learned to play the guitar as a child, he was inspired by Dutch performer Tiësto
to become a DJ. He emerged quickly onto the dance club scene and was included in
magazine lists of the top DJs. His first single "Animals" topped Billboard's
