MARTYR
Martyr is a Canadian technical death metal band formed in 1994 by brothers
Daniel Mongrain (guitar, vocals) and François Mongrain (bass, vocals), joined by
Pier‑Luc Lampron (guitar) and François Richard (drums). The band’s demo
Ostrogoth (1995) established their style. Their studio album Hopeless Hopes was
released in 1997, followed by Warp Zone in 2000, featuring guest contributions
from Gorguts members. In 2001 the recording Extracting The Core - Live 2001
captured the group’s presence, and Feeding The Abscess arrived in 2006,
