American harpist Mary Lattimore was born in Asheville, North Carolina, on
September 11, 1980. The daughter of a harpist, she learned to play the
instrument at the age of eleven and received classical training at the Eastman
School of Music in Rochester, New York, where she also performed on the radio.
In Philadelphia, she collaborated with The Valerie Project, a psychedelic
collective with whom she recorded a self-titled album released in 2007 on the
