Mastermind
Mastermind, an American progressive rock band from New Jersey, was formed in
1986 by brothers Bill Berends and Rich Berends. The band's initial lineup
included bassist Phil Antolino. In their early years, Mastermind played
extensively on the New Jersey club circuit and recorded a self-produced
cassette, Volume One. Guitar Player Magazine featured Bill Berends in its
Spotlight column in 1988, leading to a signing with Magna Carta Records. Their
