Masters at Work
Masters at Work is an American house-garage production and remix team, formed in
New York City in 1990 by "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez. The duo
have produced music together under names including MAW, KenLou, Sole Fusion, and
Nuyorican Soul. Their 1991 single "The Ha Dance" became highly influential in
the Black and Latino LGBT ballroom scene and the dance style known as vogue. In
1993 they created the Nuyorican Soul project, working extensively with musicians
such as Vincent Montana Jr., Roy Ayers, George Benson, Jocelyn Brown, and Tito
