Matt Maher is a Grammy-nominated contemporary Christian musician, as well as a former winner of the Dove Awards' "Songwriter of the Year." He was born in Newfoundland, Canada, on November 10, 1974, and moved to Arizona during his college years. While in Phoenix, he earned a music degree from Arizona State University and paid for his own tuition with a recurring gig as a jazz pianist.
