Mazlum Çimen, born on June 18, 1958, in Sevdilli village of Elbistan,
Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey, is a Turkish musician, composer, and actor. He
studied at the Istanbul State Conservatory, initially focusing on violin before
transitioning to ballet dancing. Çimen's first compositions emerged in 1980, and
he entered film music with support from poet Onat Kutlar. His breakthrough came
with the film score for Mem û Zin (1991) and the TV mini-series Aysarı'nın
