Real name Michael Berrin, MC Serch is an American rapper and producer born in
Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, on May 6, 1967. He is best known as a member of
the pioneering hip-hop group 3rd Bass, active in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Formed in 1987 with Prime Minister Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich, 3rd Bass was
one of the first white rap groups to be accepted into the underground hip-hop
scene, distinguishing itself through cultural engagement and criticism of the
industry, notably with tracks like "The Gas Face" and "Pop Goes the Weasel "
(1991), which attacked Vanilla Ice. ...
