Meredith D'Ambrosio, born on March 20, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts, is an
American jazz singer. She began studying voice and piano at age six and later
attended the Boston Museum School from 1958 to 1959. In 1966, she was offered a
tour with John Coltrane but declined. Her first significant recordings came over
a decade later with her husband, pianist Eddie Higgins. In 1985, she released
It's Your Dance on Sunnyside Records, followed by several other albums such as
The Cove (1987), South to a Warmer Place (1989), and Shadowland (1993). In 2000,
