Michael Cretu, born Mihai Crețu in Bucharest, Romania, on May 18, 1957, is a
Romanian-German musician, composer, and record producer. After relocating to
West Germany in 1975, he graduated from the Academy of Music in Frankfurt in
1978 and worked as a session keyboardist for Frank Farian. He launched his solo
recording career with the studio albums Moon, Light & Flowers in 1979, Legionäre
in 1983, and Die Chinesische Mauer (The Invisible Man) in 1985, which contained
