Michal David
Michal David, born Vladimír Štancl on July 14, 1960, in Prague, Czechoslovakia,
is a Czech singer, composer, and songwriter. He began his music career during
his studies at the Prague Conservatory in the 1970s, joining the group of
František Janeček as a pianist, singer, and songwriter. After the Velvet
Revolution in 1989, his popularity waned due to market changes, but he regained
prominence later, composing "Správnej tým" (1998) for the Czech national ice
hockey team, "Dlouhá noc" (2001) for Helena Vondráčková, and his first musical,
Kleopatra (2002), which premiered at Prague...
