Mieneke van der Velden
Mieneke van der Velden is a Dutch gambist and conductor born in 1962 in The
Hague. She is a specialist in the French repertoire for the viola da gamba. van
der Velden has performed as a soloist with prominent Baroque ensembles including
the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Collegium Vocale. Her recording history
includes the albums Da Gamba, De Profundia and Harmoniae Sacrae. She is a
professor of viola da gamba at the Conservatoire d'Amsterdam and the Royal
