Moira Anderson
Moira Anderson, born 5 June 1938 in Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland, is
a Scottish singer whose career began after studies at the Royal Scottish Academy
of Music and Drama and a successful BBC audition. Her first single, "A Perfect
Day", was issued in 1968, followed by "My Shining Hour" the same year,
establishing her presence on the British pop and MOR charts. In 1968 she
launched the television series Moira Anderson Sings on BBC 1, which ran through
the late 1960s and early 1970s, and she became a familiar face on The White
