Monaco is a musical project formed in Manchester in 1995 by Peter Hook, iconic
bassist with Joy Division and New Order, and composer and multi-instrumentalist
David Potts. The band blends influences from British rock, Britpop and dance,
creating a sound that is both melodic and rhythmic. Their debut album, Music for
Pleasure, released on June 9, 1997, was a critical and commercial success, with
the single "What Do You Want from Me?" reaching #11 in the UK charts, followed
