John David Martin – AKA Moon Martin – was born on October 31, 1945 in Altus Oklahoma. The singer, songwriter, and guitarist released nine albums between 1978 and 1999 but is best known for writing Robert Palmer’s 1979 hit “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)”, which landed in the Top 20 in several countries including Australia, France, Ireland, New Zealand, and Canada, where it reached Number 1.
