Moonchild, an American alternative R&B band, was formed in Los Angeles,
California, in the summer of 2011 while Amber Navran was touring her solo
project, and was later joined by Andris Mattson and Max Bryk, all alumni of USC
Thornton School of Music’s Jazz Studies program. The trio wrote the material
that became their debut album, Be Free, released in 2012, which earned praise
from Jill Scott, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Stevie Wonder and led to an opening slot for
Stevie Wonder at his House Full of Toys benefit in December 2012. In 2015,
Moonchild released Please Rewind on Tru Thoughts;...
