(Moonriders)
A Japanese rock band from Tokyo, Moonriders was formed in 1975 around a core
group from Hachimitsupai (Honey Pie), comprising five of its nine former
members: Keiichi Suzuki (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Tohru Okada (keyboards,
backing vocals and backing vocals), Kazuo Shiina (guitar), Tetsurō Kashibuchi
(drums, backing vocals and backing vocals), and Masahiro Takekawa (violin,
trumpet, mandolin, backing vocals and backing vocals). A debut album, Hinotama
Boy (Fireball Boy), was released in 1976 under the name Keiichi Suzuki and The
Moonriders, followed a year later by Moonride...
