Moonspell
Moonspell are a Portuguese gothic metal band formed in Brandoa, Amadora, in 1989
under the name Morbid God before adopting their current name in 1992. The
current lineup features Fernando Ribeiro on vocals, Pedro Paixão on keyboards
and guitar, Ricardo Amorim on guitar, Aires Pereira on bass, and Hugo Ribeiro on
drums. After the demo Anno Satanæ (1993) and the EP Under the Moonspell (1994),
they signed with Century Media and released Wolfheart (1995), which introduced
their mix of black metal, gothic atmosphere, Portuguese cultural references, and
