Morphium
MorphiuM formed in Girona, Spain, in 2005 and developed a sound that balances
extreme metal’s aggression with darker, melodic elements. The band recorded its
debut album, La Era de la Decadencia, in 2008, and it was subsequently released
in 2011 through Roadrunner Records Spain and Música Global. The record received
strong reviews and helped propel MorphiuM into the wider metal scene. Extensive
touring followed, taking the band across Europe and the Americas and putting
them on bills with acts including Megadeth, Fear Factory, Overkill, Moonspell,
