Moshe Atzmon, born on July 30, 1931, in Budapest, was an Israeli conductor. He
began his musical education in Budapest, continued it in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem,
and completed his conducting training in London. Atzmon's breakthrough came in
1963 when he received the second prize at the Dimitri Mitropoulos International
Music Competition in New York. He served as a guest conductor with major
philharmonic orchestras in Berlin, Munich, and Vienna. In 1967, he led the
