Mostar Sevdah Reunion
Mostar Sevdah Reunion, a group from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was formed
in 1998 by Dragi Šestić. The band initially consisted of local musicians with
extensive experience who reunited to record their debut album, Mostar Sevdah
Reunion, in 1999. This release marked the beginning of their career, which
quickly gained traction among world music audiences. The group is known for
interpreting sevdalinka and collaborating with notable figures in gypsy music,
