Munk
Mathias Modica is a German music producer, pianist, and DJ born on March 18,
1977, in Rome. Raised in a musical family, he received training in instruments
including the piano, drums, and saxophone. Modica began his career as a club
operator and party organizer in Munich between 1996 and 2007. He co-founded
Gomma Records in 1999, followed by Toy Tonics in 2014 and Kryptox in 2018. Under
the pseudonym Munk, he released the studio recording Aperitivo in 2004. Modica
collaborated with artists such as James Murphy, Asia Argento, and Nancy Whang.
