Murat Göğebakan – born on October 9, 1968, in Sarıçam, Turkey – was a musician,
singer, and songwriter best known for playing Anatolian rock, which is a form of
Turkish psychedelic music. After graduating from Hacettep University Ankara
State Conservatory, he began working as a lecturer but would also give guitar
lessons and work other odd jobs. Moving to Istanbul in 1995, he signed with
Prestij Music and released his debut album, Ben Sana Aşık Oldum, in 1997. The
