Myron Elkins
The Americana singer/songwriter Myron Elkins was born and raised in rural
Otsego, Michigan, where he originally worked as a welder following his
graduation from Martin High School. Encouraged by relatives to pursue a music
career, he pieced together a band called The Dying Breed, featuring electric
guitarist Caleb Stampfler, drummer Ricky LaDuke, bassist McKinnon Elkins, and
rhythm guitarist Avry Whitaker. Inspired by country acts like Hank Williams and
Waylon Jennings, the group began playing local shows and and released a debut
