Naomi Chiaki, born on 17 September 1947 in Itabashi, Japan, entered the
entertainment industry as both a singer and actress in the early 1970s. She
debuted with the single "Ame Ni Nureta Bojou", released in 1969, which
introduced her distinctive vocal style to the J‑pop scene. "X+Y=LOVE" was
released on August 10, 1970; following the previous single "Yottsu no Onegai,"
it marked the artist's second consecutive entry into the Oricon Top 10. She
followed up with the double single "Yakan Hikou" / "Ninenmae No Aki" on 25 June
