Nat Stuckey

Nathan Wright Stuckey, born on December 17, 1933, in Cass County, Texas, was an American country singer. He began his career as a radio announcer at KALT in Atlanta and later at KWKH in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1965, Stuckey co-wrote Buck Owens' Number 1 single "Waitin' in Your Welfare Line" and recorded his own hit "Sweet Thang" on Paula Records. The following year, he signed with RCA Records, releasing notable songs such as "Plastic Saddle" and "Sweet Thing and Cisco".
