National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine
The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, founded in 1918 as the Ukrainian
State Symphony Orchestra, is a principal orchestra of Ukraine. Initially led by
Nathan Rachlin from 1937 to 1962, the orchestra has since been directed by
figures including Stephan Turchak, Volodymyr Kozhukhar, Fyodor Glushchenko, and
Igor Blazhkov. Theodore Kuchar serves as the current artistic director, while
Volodymyr Sirenko has been the chief conductor since 1999. The orchestra's
