Nicola Corinne Hitchcock is a British electronica, trip hop, and downtempo
singer-songwriter and producer from London. Hitchcock began writing songs at age
nine and contributed vocals and keyboards to the Eternal Triangle album Touch
and Let Go in 1984. In 1993, Hitchcock released the debut solo album A Bowl of
Chalk, featuring folk instrumentation and bassist Danny Thompson. The recording
included the singles “Pick Up Your Coat” and “My Mistake”. From 1995 to 2002,
Hitchcock performed in the trip hop duo Mandalay with Saul Freeman, releasing
