Nicolay
Matthijs Rook, known professionally as Nicolay, is a Dutch record producer and
musician. Based in the United States, Rook is recognized as one half of the
group The Foreign Exchange alongside Phonte. The duo's debut album Connected
(2004) was followed by Leave It All Behind (2008). In 2009, they received a
Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the track
“Daykeeper” (2008). Solo releases include the City Lights series, consisting of
City Lights Vol. 1 (2005), City Lights Vol. 2: Shibuya (2009), and City Lights
