Niko is
Nikolai Paiva, born on June 10, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian-American
hip hop recording artist known professionally as NIKO IS. He began collaborating
with producer Thanks Joey while attending Dr. Philips High School in Orlando. He
independently released the mixtape Chill Cosby in 2012, which garnered local
attention and a feature on HipHopDX. In 2014, he issued the studio album Good
Blood, followed by Brutus in 2015 under Javotti Media, featuring Talib Kweli;
both projects received positive reviews.
