Nipsey Hussle
Born Ermias Joseph Ashgedom (born and died in Los Angeles, August 15, 1985 –
March 31, 2019), American rapper Nipsey Hussle released a dozen mixtapes between
2005 and 2017, prior to the release of the album Victory Lap (2018), the first
and only one released during his lifetime. A member of the Crips gang, he took
his stage name from comedian Nipsey Russell and infused his rap with humor and
stories of violence. In 2013, he sold his eighth mixtape Crenshaw for $100 each;
