Nona Reeves, a Japanese band, was founded in 1995 by Gota Nishidera, Kensuke Okuda, and Shigeru Komatsu. The group's name is derived from the names of Nona Gaye and Martha Reeves. In 1996, they released their debut album Sidecar under Giant Robot Records. Their first major EP, Golf, was released in 1997 after signing with Warner Music Japan.
