Northern Cree, also known as Northern Cree Singers, is a powwow and Round Dance
drum and singing group based in Maskwacis, Alberta, Canada. Formed in 1982 by
Randy Wood with brothers Charlie and Earl Wood of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation,
the group includes members from the Treaty 6 area such as Ferlin McGillvary,
Steve Wood, and Joel Wood.
Northern Cree released their debut album Stay Red in 2006. The group has been
featured in various media, including the film Grey Owl (1999) and the album
