≠ME (Not Equal Me) is a Japanese all-girl idol group assembled by the Yoyogi
Animation Company as a sister group to =Love. Formed in 2019, it consists of
twelve members and is produced by former AKB48 and HKT48 member Rino Sashihara.
Auditions for the group began in early 2018 and by April 2019, all of its
members had been introduced to the audience. In August of that year, ≠ME
released their first single and made their live debut at the Tokyo Idol Festival
2019. After featuring on =Love's B-side track "Kimi no Oto Dattanda," the
twelve-piece released their debut EP Chōtokkyū ≠Me...
