Obed Calvaire
Obed Calvaire, born around 1982 in Miami, is an American jazz drummer with
Haitian roots. He earned both a Bachelor's degree (2003) and a Master's degree
(2005) from the Manhattan School of Music. Calvaire began his professional
career collaborating with notable artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Seal, and
Eddie Palmieri on Sabiduría (2017). He has performed with various ensembles,
including the Village Vanguard Orchestra, Metropole Orkest, Mingus Big Band,
SFJazz Collective, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and big bands led by Roy
