Ohio Express, an American bubblegum pop band, were formed in Mansfield, Ohio, in
1967. The group's origins are complex; initially, Super K Productions used the
name Ohio Express as a brand to release music made by various musicians and
acts. The first record attributed to the band Ohio Express was the "Louie
Louie"-inspired "Beg, Borrow & Steal", a Top 40 hit in the US and Canada in late
1967. This track had previously been released by the Rare Breed in early 1966.
