The Old Friends Quartet was a Southern gospel group formed in 2000 and consisted
of former Cathedrals tenor George Younce, former Statesmen/Imperials lead Jake
Hess, and Gaither Homecoming baritone Wesley Pritchard, joined by pianist Garry
Jones and tenor Ernie Haase. Their name honored the Bill Gaither song "Old
Friends", reflecting Hess and Younce’s long friendship. After signing with
Spring House Productions, the quartet released the studio album Encore in 2000
