Wolfgang Edenharder first cooked up the idea for the Original Naabtal Duo in the
1970s, but, despite a few performances with drummer Hubert Zaschka, it didn't
take off until the mid-1980s.
It wasn't until Edenharder, an accordion player, met singer Willi Seitz in 1985
that the project really came together. Three years later they won the `Grand
Prix der Volksmusik' in Switzerland, beating competition from across
German-speaking Europe and gaining the profile they needed to quit their
respective jobs as a postman and textile salesman. The duo had a successful run
