Owen is the musical solo project of American multi-instrumentalist Mike Kinsella, originating from Chicago, Illinois. After performing with various bands, he launched the project as a solo venture. He released the debut album, Owen, in 2001, and followed it with No Good for No One Now (2002). His subsequent releases included The EP (2004) and the album I Do Perceive (2004). He followed with the albums At Home with Owen (2006) and New Leaves (2009), which reflected personal milestones including marriage and fatherhood.
