Pastel are a UK-based shoegaze-led alt-rock band known for their fusion of
dream-pop and the swaggering rhythms of 1990s Manchester music. Formed in
Swansea in 2020, the band comprises cousins Jack Yates (vocals) and James Yates
(rhythm guitar), alongside Liam O'Shea (bass), Joe Anderson (lead guitar), and
Rhys Wheeler (drums). After relocating to Manchester, they signed with the
independent label Spirit of Spike Island, which has been instrumental in
