Patsy Watchorn
Patsy Watchorn is an Irish folk singer and musician. Born in Crumlin, Dublin, on
October 16, 1944, Watchorn first came to prominence in 1969 as the lead vocalist
of the ballad group The Quare Fellas, which evolved into the Dublin City
Ramblers in the early 1970s. The ensemble achieved hit singles with Pete St.
John's compositions “The Rare Ould Times” and “The Ferryman”. After leaving the
group in 1995, Watchorn embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as Pub
with No Beer in 1996, Sonia's Song in 1996, The Craic and Porter Too in 1998,
