Paul Rich, born on August 20, 1921, in London, England, was a singer and
guitarist. He studied guitar with Ivor Mairants before joining Lou Preager's
band in 1942, which had a residency at the Hammersmith Palais in London. Paul
made numerous recordings, including "Cruising Down the River" (1946), and
performed solo at venues in London’s West End. In the 1950s, he appeared in
