Pavel Novák

Pavel Novák was a Czechoslovak and Czech pop singer, composer, and writer. Born in Přerov on March 10, 1944, Novák began his singing career in 1961 and graduated in biology and physical education from Palacký University in 1967. He co-founded the group Synkopa in 1964, and later established his own band, Vox, in 1967, and Proto in the late 1970s. Novák released thirty albums during his lifetime, including his self-titled 1975 album for the East German label Amiga, and the 2006 compilation Pop galerie.
