Penelope was a Canadian punk rock group from Quebec, formed in 1999 by Francis
Bédard, Julie Berthold, and Éric Roberge, who were previously part of
Beefriendz. Their debut album, J'ai fait fuir la visite (1999), featured the
songs "Rien à comprendre", "Pawn Shop", and a cover of "Rémi". The album sold
over 5,000 copies with support from the Union Label Group. For their second
album, Face au silence du monde (2001), the group enlisted Dave Smalley as
