American singer-songwriter and record producer Peter H. Brown, known
professionally as Peter Brown, was born on July 11, 1953, in Blue Island,
Illinois, and raised in Palos Heights, Illinois. Brown's early musical
influences included Santana, Earth, Wind and Fire, and Chicago. He began his
music career playing drums and later became proficient with various percussion
instruments and the synthesizer. In 1977, Brown released his debut album A
