Pilar Montenegro is a Mexican singer and actress. She was a member of the
popular dance group Garibaldi before gaining roles in Mexican soap operas such
as 'Gotita De Amor', 'Marisol' and 'Volver a Empezar'.
Her solo career took off with the 1996 album 'Son del Corazon', which included
songs such as the rhumba-style 'De Amarte' and 'Eres Todo Para Mi', a
Spanish-language version of Neil Sedaka's 'You Mean Everything to Me'. Her next
album was 'Desahogo' in 2001, which included the massive single 'Quitame Ese
Hombre', a cover version of the song by Yolandita Monge.
