Pim Jacobs
Willem Bernard "Pim" Jacobs was a Dutch jazz pianist, composer, and television
presenter born in 1934 in Hilversum, Netherlands. He began playing piano at age
six. In 1954, he formed a trio with his brother Ruud and drummer Wessel Ilcken,
which later included guitarist Wim Overgaauw and vocalist Rita Reys. They
recorded with Herbie Mann in 1956. After Ilcken's death in 1957, he and Reys
performed as a duo or trio with Overgaauw, marrying in 1960. They frequently
